Roberson to lead HTC in UK & Ireland

Everything Everywhere director of devices Phil Roberson to assume new role in October and will replace Jon French, who has moved to a new role at the handset manufacturer

HTC has named former Everything Everywhere director of devices Phil Roberson as its new executive director for the UK and Ireland. He will succeed Jon French in October, whose promotion to the role of HTC vice president of sales and operations for EMEA was announced in April.

Roberson will be responsible for HTC’s sales and marketing strategy, driving growth of its product portfolio and brand positioning in the UK and Ireland.

Prior to his role at Everything Everywhere, Roberson had been at T-Mobile for five years and held the positions of head of handset management and head of terminals and operations.

French said: “HTC has seen tremendous growth over the past couple of years by delivering innovative and intuitive products built with consumers in mind. Phil’s shrewd negotiating skills and experience in driving product strategy make him the top man for the job of further establishing HTC as the leading smartphone brand in the UK and Ireland.”
